How to generate packaging design concepts

Updated over a week ago

Our packaging design generation tool helps you go from idea to artwork in minutes.

Step 1: Choose your starting point

Start from blank or use an existing design as your foundation.

Step 2: Select your product

Choose from our range of primary and secondary packaging products.

Step 3: Add your branding elements

  • Enter your brand name, slogan and industry. This helps generate designs that align with your brand.

  • Upload your logo. This provides a reference for sizing and spacing. The logo may not match exactly, but you can replace it directly in the Editing Suite.

  • Select up to 4 colours. You can exact-match your brand colours in the Editing Suite later.

Step 4: Define your style

You have three options:

  1. Describe your style in words

  2. Upload an inspiration image

  3. Choose from our pre-defined styles like minimalistic or bold

Step 5: Generate your images

  • Choose how many images to create. Each image uses 1 credit.

  • Try concept modes for more variety:

    • Luxury adds a premium feel

    • Creative explores bolder ideas

    • You can select both for even more options

  • Each concept generates the same number of images as your initial selection. For example, 3 images with Luxury and Creative concepts selected will create 9 total images and use 9 credits.

  • Click generate and wait for your designs.

Step 6: View your designs

  • See a summary of your submitted branding and scene details.

  • Browse your generations, organised by concept mode (Original, Premium, Creative).

  • Click preview to see any design up close.

  • Find similar reference images from our curated library by clicking "search similar images".

Step 7: Remix if needed

Not quite right? Use the remix button at the top to generate again. You'll restart from the product selection step, but your prompt details will be saved.

This is also perfect for creating designs in the same style across different product types.

Step 8: Save to collection

  • Add designs you like to a collection for your project.

  • Save individual images or add all your generations at once.

  • Collections make it easy to share designs with stakeholders and align everyone around the same visual reference.

Step 9: Edit your design

Like a design but want to make a few adjustments? Make quick changes without switching tools by clicking Edit image.

From here you can:

  • Erase elements you don't want

  • Change backgrounds

  • Zoom out for a wider view

  • Replace your logo

  • Upscale for higher quality

  • Learn more about Edits.

Step 10: Extract your artwork

Love the design? Get ready-to use artwork in seconds.

  • Select any design you want to use.

  • Click Extract artwork.

  • Takes about 60 seconds to process.

  • Find extracted files in the "extracted artwork for this image" section below generations.

  • Download as PNG or SVG.

  • Perfect for importing into your design tools before preparing for print.
